Article I

Mission

PoliAPI exists to make verified, structured civic data available to every developer, journalist, researcher, and citizen — without ideological favor.

Article II

Editorial independence

No paid placement. No 'sponsored' rows. No reordering of candidates or measures for compensation. Ever.

Article III

Equal treatment

Identical schema, identical SLAs, identical correction policy applied to candidates and measures regardless of party, ideology, or incumbency.

Article IV

Transparency

Methodology repo public on GitHub. Every field has a documented source. Every correction is logged with a public diff.

Article V

Conflict of interest

Staff and advisors disclose political donations, campaign work, and lobbying ties annually. Disqualifying conflicts published on /charter/coi.

Article VI

Adjudication

Alleged violations reviewed by the balanced advisory board within 30 days. Findings published with vote tallies and rationale.

Article VII

Amendment

Charter amendments require 2/3 of the advisory board and a 30-day public comment period. Diff archive at /charter/history.
